Scientist, Biology (Job code: Bio/EM)
The successful candidate will design and implement cell-based in vitro assays for screening
and characterizing compounds, analyze and present data, and work within a cross-functional
project team to advance the development of drug candidates. The individual must have
significant cell culture experience and should be expert with transfection and developing
cell-based assays, including those performed in specialized (tissue) cell lines.
Experience Requirements: A Ph.D or equivalent plus 2-8 years work experience in molecular
biology, cellular biology or pharmacology is required. Candidates with experience in
GPCR biology/physiology are particularly encouraged to apply.
Associate Scientist, Biology (Job code: Bio/EM)
The successful candidate will implement in vitro assays for screening and characterizing
compounds, analyze and present data as part of a drug development project team. Expertise
in protein biochemistry and second messenger signaling knowledge related to GPCR function
is preferred. The individual should be an effective and creative problem solver. The
position requires excellent oral and written communication skills as well as strong organizational
and critical thinking skills. Proficiency in cell-based assays and molecular biology
techniques (PCR, RT PCR, Real time PCR, Northern Blot, Southern Blot, cloning, etc) is
a plus.
Experience Requirements: B.S. or M.S. in biochemistry, Molecular Biology or a related
discipline, with experience in tissue culture and cell biology.
Senior Scientist, Biology/Pharmacology (Job Code: BPSS/TM)
The successful candidate will participate in R&D projects from inception into development
studies using new chemical entities. The individual should have a sound understanding
of GPCR physiology and the role of signal transduction pathways in diseases. The candidate
is expected to design, implement, and assess the results of various in vitro and in vivo
studies evaluating drug candidates. The scientist will be an integral part of a cross-functional
project team and must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Experience Requirements: A DVM, Ph.D or equivalent plus 5-10 years work experience in
the area of veterinary pathology, biology or pharmacology is required. Candidates with
drug discovery or development experience in GPCR biology/physiology are particularly
encouraged to apply.
Scientist, Biology/Pharmacology (Job code: BPS/TM)
The successful candidate will participate in R&D projects from inception to first-in-man
studies using new chemical entities. The individual should have a sound understanding
of the role of signal transduction pathways in diseases and will develop, validate and
execute biochemical assays that drive project the identification of lead compounds and
assess mechanism of action.
Experience Requirements: A Ph.D or equivalent plus 2-8 years work experience in molecular
biology, cellular biology or pharmacology is required. Candidates with experience in
GPCR biology/physiology are particularly encouraged to apply.
